West Yorkshire Police - Trafalgar House Bradford Divisional HQ
Client: West Yorkshire Police
Contract Value: £13.5 million
Rance Booth Smith Architects were appointed by West Yorkshire Police to design and oversee the construction of their new Bradford South Divisional Headquarters.
The scheme brings together accommodation from the Tyrls and Odsal Police Stations whilst at the same time providing good transport communication between the existing police buildings in Bolling Road and the new Dudley Hill Police Station. The building is a multi-storey steel structure with blast resistant external façade, a 'dry-moat' plan layout and stunning central atrium. Internally it incorporates new offices, public help desk and custody suite with thirty six cells.
