Rance Booth Smith Architects were employed by Allenbuild on a design and build contract for the new police station with a fifteen cell custody suite at Grantham. The site is close to the A1 and on the edge of the town and is therefore well located.

The approach to the building for the public is via a three storey glazed entrance core, with two wings of office built in brick and splaying out backwards at 45 degrees. The custody suite is to the rear of the building, enclosed and secure.
