Rance Booth Smith Architects were appointed by Leeds City College to undertake the concept design for the STAR Centre, an interactive educational experience for children aged 5-16.

By addressing the flow of movement through each area the design ensures that the visitors' excitement will increase as they progress through the facility with a 3D 'air lock' corridor marking the transition into the 'spaceship' themed setworks beyond.

The close collaboration with the Client and STAR Centre staff throughout the design process has ensured a design that fully reflects their vision for the new facility.
