Shipley Station Crag
Client: The City of Bradford District Council Regeneration Department
Bradford Council is the part owner of a piece of largely unused land which sits immediately adjacent to Shipley Railway Station, one of the busiest stations in the area.
Rance Booth Smith Architects were appointed to lead a team of consultants in investigations, consultations and ultimately the development of proposals to redevelop and revitalise the area. The proposal adopted includes primarily for a mixed use development incorporating offices, industrial, residential uses, but including an element of retail and education. Significantly, a connection direct to the railway station was incorporated, which in turn gives access to the town centre.
