This new four-storey Atrium presents a stunning first impression to visitors and prospective students and provides an important, vibrant focal point on campus. It is clad in ETFE cushions, the same innovative, hi-tech material used in the Biomes at the Eden Project in Cornwall. The architectural challenge was to integrate a new multifunctional space within the existing surroundings.

Inside, the Atrium contains a one-stop-shop for student services, catering provision, IT connection points and is used as a gathering and social space as well as a stand-alone space for special events. The design preserves a unique individuality promoting and representing the University of Bradford.
