A five storey state of the art research facility, and the first of a new generation of buildings to confirm the University's commitment to contemporary sustainable design, energy efficient operation and a good working environment. Its crisp cladding and large areas of glazing give it a fresh contemporary feel.

A screen of adjustable louvres and natural ventilation via an internal atrium contribute to its low-energy strategy.  The work was procured using a traditional form of contract run on a partnering basis and was completed in eleven months.
