Rance Booth Smith together with Rex Procter & Partners, The Bradford Property Forum and University of Bradford were engaged in creating the 'House of the Future' initiative as part of The British Science Festival in Bradford. The existing traditional terraced property showcased the latest innovations and technologies in order to make the home energy efficient and economically viable.

Rance Booth Smith proposed a range of measures that can be undertaken to help bring the house from the present into the future, including low energy technologies, water saving measures, energy production and low energy transport. With extensive effort and calling on over fifty businesses, we were able to deliver an educational visitor facility to engage with members of the public, businesses and local communities on the important subject of sustainability.
