Conservation

RBS Architects are passionate about breathing new life into old buildings, whether through sympathetic restoration or by regenerating spaces with contemporary design and materials.

We have over 40 years’ experience caring for listed buildings and historic structures, sensitive and historically important sites, as well as advising on heritage funding and statutory requirements.

We are dedicated to design solutions to preserve the character of heritage buildings, whilst keeping them alive and occupied.

We work closely with Historic England and Local Planning Authority Conservation Departments, and funding bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.

Our modern design for an extension at St. Mary & St. Abanoub Coptic Orthodox Church was approved by the Leeds Conservation Department as it complemented the existing building without impacting key original features.
