An interactive educational experience for children aged 5-16.
Winner of the Tourism & Leisure Winner RICS and Pro-Yorkshire Awards the Star Centre is a lively science hub which uses space to encourage learners to undertake science related subjects.
Our interior designers worked in close collaboration with Leeds City College and STAR Centre staff throughout the design process to ensure the design fully reflected their vision for the new for the interactive learning centres.
By addressing the flow of movement through each area the design ensures that the visitors’ excitement will increase as they progress through the facility with a 3D ‘air lock’ corridor marking the transition into the ‘spaceship’ themed setworks beyond. These include mission control simulation, driving a planetary rover in the Astrobotic’s area, conducting experiments in the laboratory, or exploring the universe in the Cosmodrome.
