Rance Booth Smith Architects have recently produced a feasibility study for the design of a new community centre to form a focal point within the regeneration of a deprived area of the Tees Valley at Eston Park.
The park itself has a number of football and rugby pitches and the accommodation will enhance the use and facilities for the users.
The proposed scheme will become a demonstration project highlighting the benefits from low energy design and renewable technologies. The venue will provide year round indoor and outdoor amenities for the local community which will include:
- Exhibition spaces
- Activity spaces
- Learning centre
- Cafe
- Outdoor performance areas and sports pitches
- Children's indoor play
- Rangers/wardens office
- Toilets/changing facilities
- Internal and external storage
