Rance Booth Smith Architects were appointed by an industry leader in the energy sector to prepare proposals for the expansion of their existing offices at Selby Business Park. Working closely with the Client, RBS produced options for a new detached office building located on the vacant land opposite the existing offices.

The Client expressed a desire for a sustainable design approach. Using Dynamic Simulation Modelling software, RBS developed designs for a naturally ventilated and daylit office based on BRE publications. The building was designed to achieve a BREEAM 'very good' rating.
