The passing of Mr Eric Rance
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Rance, one of the three founding Partners of what is now Rance Booth Smith Architects.
Eric Rance, together with Allan Booth and Tim Smith, formed Rance Booth & Smith in 1982. They grew the business from a small firm of architects which started out in Shipley, to a well-respected and thriving practice based in a studio in Saltaire.
Allan Booth, current director of Rance Booth Smith Architects and founding partner of Rance Booth & Smith said “Eric was a true professional who was much respected by his clients, colleagues and other professionals in the industry. He retired through ill health over 20 years ago but the ethos which he established continues to this day. This is a belief in providing excellent service which has resulted in a high level of repeat business. Some of our current clients are clients who worked with Eric all those years ago.”
Mr. Rance passed away peacefully on Wednesday 13 June 2018. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.
