Rance Booth Smith Shortlisted for 2016 RICS Award
Rance Booth Smith Architects have been shortlisted for the prestigious RICS Awards 2016.
The Jonathan Silver Building, Saltaire has been shortlisted in the Community Benefit Category in the RICS Awards 2016 - Yorkshire & Humber.
The £2m purpose built community vocational centre and horticultural glasshouse which is part of the Shipley College Estate was designed to enable young people who have learning and mobility difficulties to receive the education they deserve by reducing everyday barriers that they often face. The centre enables them to achieve their educational goals and move towards independent living.
The design draws upon the historic context of the bordering World Heritage Site to create a modern, sustainable building which benefits the local community.
The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the built environment.
